CBD from hemp is legal in the US when it contains less than 0.3% THC, and it isn’t meant to get you high the way marijuana does. The harder part is telling the brands that do things right from the ones jumping on the bandwagon. Here’s my Cornbread Hemp CBD review and why it made the cut.

Why Cornbread Hemp CBD Stands Out

  • Flower-only and USDA organic. Cornbread uses only the flower of the hemp plant, not the stems or leaves, and says it sources its hemp from USDA organic farmers in Kentucky. Its CBD oils and gummies are USDA organic.
  • Every batch is tested. Cornbread sends every batch to a third-party lab and publishes the lab reports on its website, with a QR code on each product.
  • Know the THC. Full-spectrum products contain THC (under the 0.3% legal limit), and Cornbread notes that full-spectrum oil can cause a positive drug test. Its Berry CBD gummies list up to 3 mg of THC per serving. Products are for adults 21 and over, so check the label, especially if you’re drug tested, pregnant or nursing.

What I look for in any CBD brand

  • Full-spectrum hemp extract rather than CBD alone.
  • Hemp grown on clean land without pesticides, and tested for heavy metals, pesticides and THC in every batch.
  • Test results shared openly. If a brand won’t show them, I won’t buy.

General information only, not medical advice. CBD products aren’t FDA-approved to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Check with your doctor first, especially if you take medication.
